This is just a list of relatively impressive things I've done in gamesTerrariaNo-Hit Mutant
The Mutant was a pretty difficult fight to do no-hit, it's a lot of visual overload and requires a lot of focus. It took me about 10 hours worth of attempts to beat, and it was pretty fun! The main advice I have is to: not use the lunar portal staff (that crowds the screen to an insane degree and makes it nearly impossible to see) and to use the landslide instead of the diffractor blaster if you're playing mage (which I was), for similar reasons. Other than that, learn the attacks and unbind all of your saving throw effects (gold shell, fireball dash, etc) since they will prevent you from doing a true nohit even if you don't get hit. Make sure to practice the desperation phase as well! You can skip directly to it if you use post-Mutant gear (The Guardian in parctular can beat both phases before it even attacks twice), since it is by far the most difficult to dodge consistently. No-Hit AstrageldonAstrageldon was significantly harder to nohit than the Mutant, largely for 4 reasons:
It was, however, really fun. Astregeldon is a good boss with a consistent and fun to learn attack pattern that just feels satisfying to get good at, even if it took me over 200 attempts across 2 days to beat. It's a double edged sword that Astrageldon is at the stage of the game that it is though, because on the one hand, it's fun to play against a superboss without ultra endgame gear for once, but on the other hand, I just spend several days grinding this fight for this uber OP weapon, and now if I use it I am just trivializing the rest of the game, or at least until Scal/Exos. Not that it matters that much, since I was playing on Revengance Mode, and nearly every boss left wouldn't have been too much of a challenge. Still though, it was worthwhile. I highly recommend trying it while TModLoader remains on 1.4.4, since Calamity won't get updated to the next version for reasons. Daytime EoL
Unfortunately, I don't have a boss checklist screenshot here since I did this in vanilla Terraria when the 1.4.5 update first came out on master mode. Honestly a plainly good boss battle, the attacks are consistent and fair, always give you time to react. I played as a summoner using Tiki armour and all offensive accessories, with my only mobility being the Witch's Broomstick mount dropped by one of the pumpkin moon minibosses. It's a surprisingly effective strategy specifically for daytime Empress, since you can usually DPS her down before the attacks get too difficult to dodge. Would reccomend at least trying, even if the terraprisma isn't actually meta for post-golem. The Binding Of IsaacDead God
I might only have Dead God on file 1, but it did take a really long time to achieve and I am still somewhat proud of it. If I remember correctly, it took about 300 hours across roughly 450 runs to do, and I was quite happy when I got it done. Of course, I kept playing after that, but could never muster the energy to do it another 2 times. MinecraftCompletion of E2E
E2E was the single hardest tech pack I have ever completed, coming in at a time to clear of almost exactly 336 hours, or about 14 full days. A lot of that was definetly my own incompitence when it comes to logistics, as well as the terrible choice to build my base 1) in the sky, and 2) in the twilight forest, which specifically blocks flight. I ended up getting a lot of use from the Aevetas alligned resonating wand because of that. Other than that, though, it was a really fun modpack. I would recommend just ignoring the quest book for most of the game, though, because it can make you run through hoops and build a lot of useless junk. Instead, focus on just building recourse production and refinement setups at your own pace, taking breaks to toy around with mods you haven't tried before. Overall, pretty fun, would recommend. Armourless Chocolate EditionNo image for this one because I don't know what to put, but it is possible and in fact really easy to beat the Chocolate Edition modpack entirely armourless. I do actually have an entire Guide for this, but up until ~60% of the way through the game, it is actually a pretty interesting tactical challenge that requires a lot more thought than this modpack usually does, making it a lot more fun than usual, especially considering how easy it normally is. Would highly recommend doing an armourless playthrough if you have played this pack and want a greater challenge. ULTRAKILLGame P-Ranked (Brutal)
I am a big fan of this game, enough to have Perfect Ranked nearly (because the encore stages kicked my ass and I got carpal tunnel while practicing for them) every level in the game. It was quite enjoyable, especially P-1, since it felt the most like learning a Terraria boss, trying to react correctly to each attack, to the point of eventually getting through Minos without getting hit at all. |
